Getting There

For most guests, there are no direct flights to Saint Barths. To arrive in Saint Barths the same day––which is our goal here––the best route is through Saint Martin, SXM. There are two options from Saint Martin to Saint Barths, either a 45 minute ferry ride or a 15 minute plane ride. For more information on both options, please see below.

Houston to St. Martin

There are three airlines that fly from Houston to Saint Martin / St. Marteen.

Take a quick flight or ferry from St. Martin to Saint Barthélemy.

St. Martin to St. Barths by Plane

The minimum connecting time between the arrival of your international flight and the departure of your flight to St. Barths is 1 hour and 15 minutes. The check in deadline is 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Please note for departures on your return trip, it is recommended to arrive 2 hours prior to your international flight departure.

St. Barth Commuter

They offer two daily flights to SBH from SXM.

  • Monday, March 10th- 1:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

  • Tuesday, March 11th- 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday, March 12th- 3:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

  • SBC also offers flights out of the regional airport in Saint Martin, SFG. It is about a 30-40 minute taxi ride from SXM to SFG. Although it’s a bit of a drive, it’s a good option if flights from SXM are booked.

St. Barth Commuter offers charter options as well. Please inquire directly with SBC for pricing and availability.

Winair

Winair offers many daily flights from SXM to SBH. The websaver rate does fill up quickly, so we recommend booking as soon as possible for the best rate.

Please note, Winair only departs from SXM.

St. Martin to St. Barths by Ferry

While traveling via air can be a bit more simple, some guests may prefer to take a ferry from Saint Martin to Saint Barths. The trip is about 45 minutes to an hour. The closest ferry terminal to SXM is Philipsburg operated by Great Bay Express, but another option is Voyager, which departs from the Marigot Ferry Terminal.


For either option, check in closes 30 minutes prior to departure.

Great Bay Express

Great Bay Express offers a 5:30 p.m. ferry from SXM with a 6:15 p.m. arrival to SBH. The cost is about $70 each way when reserved in advance. The ferry has restrooms and AC.


It is important to note that Great Bay Express departs from the Philipsburg dock, which is closest to SXM.

Voyager

Voyager is a slightly longer ride, estimated to be 60 minutes each way, but they do offer more evening options, with a 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. departure.


It is important to note that Voyager departs from the Marigot dock, which is about a 30 minute ferry ride.
